Ladies Help - How to Get My Wife to Wear Daytona or Sub?
Ladies, any advice on how I can convince my wife to wear my Sub-Date or Daytona every once in a while?
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of a men's rollie on the wrist of a hot petite woman. At 5'2" / 120#, my wife of 7 years fits my description but wears an SS ladies datejust and loves it. She has no interest in wearing anything else though (watches that is) Several reasons really, 1) She likes the 'stealthness' of her SS DJ, she would prefer not to attract extra attention with a fancier watch, 2) She says my watches are too big and heavy for her even to wear them for the fun of it outside of work or something, 3) I've even tried to get her interested in another ladies' Rolex model, a TT DJ or even YG model but no-go (both too flashy for her tastes at this point - maybe when she's older she says). Here's a quick wrist pic of her wearing the DJ... So.... it may be wishful thinking for me to think that she'll wear the Sub-Date or Daytona every once in a while, but a guy can dream can't he?

Buy either and put it on a strap.

ok i have a plan but it needs two people. - tackle her from behind- get a friend to hold her down and then apply the watch and superglue it so it doesn't come off.

Tell her you're not putting out until she wears the 40mm Rolex.
That should work

My fiance is 5' 1" and 110lb.
She's getting a Submariner very soon. I already bought it and haven't given it to her yet. =) |

You saying you can't tackle a petite woman and superglue something to her all by yourself? Wussy. My wife 110, 5'2" wears a man's datejust. 36mm looks much better on her. PAtrick

Just tell her how you feel and think how sexy she would look and maybe she would accommodate your wishes....at least for one night. Good luck.

Wow, awesome comments everyone! I'm laughing and identifying with most of them! :
We already own the watches, just trying to convince her to wear my sub or daytona every once and a while. Quote:

It's a little different with these watches though, since I didn't buy them specifically for her I guess... Quote:

My wife actually picked out her DJ without even realizing it one night - we had been looking for her a stainless watch with a blue face and had literally looked at hundreds of watches for about a year or more. We just happened to be at an AD and I was looking at sport models and she said "hey check out this one over here". I went to our AD (different location) and ordered it the next day. Quote:
Will update the post with my progress. This forum is the BEST!!!!!

Let your wife wear her small watch and let your gf wear the 40MMs.

Her outfit today was a PERFECT fit for the sub... it's 'casual Friday' so she had on low rise jeans with a tight fitting black Hart & Huntington 'baby-doll' t-shirt. As we were about to leave the house this morning I said "wow you look awesome except your blue faced watch doesn't match that outfit at all, here try on the sub". She rolled her eyes and goes "you know I don't want to wear that big watch all day" as she quickly slipped it on to appease me - it was only for a second, but man-o-man it looked SO FREAKING HOT to me. I followed her around like a puppy for the next 10-15 minutes sounding like a whipped kid "put it on again, put it on again!". Funny thing is, we work next door to each other and I stopped in before lunch and told one of the other girls in her office to make a comment to her about how the blue faced watch just didn't look right with her outfit. My wife saw right through that one, she knows me too well... BTW, this is the exact shirt she is wearing today (we got it from the Palms Vegas Hart store): http://www.hartandhuntingtontattoo.c...too/HH234.html (pic taken from the H&H website)

Talk about a fetish!!! At least you aren't asking her to wear two big watches at the same time!

I dunno... I didn't think it was that bad but I guess in this thread I am going on and on about it quite a bit. I promise I haven't been that bad in "real life"

If my wife does accept to wear men size Rolexes, it would give me an excuse to buy all the Rolexes I am craving for.

"jhelms" I have to say that's one fine looking date/datejust your wife
wears.. nice combo.. if your wanting her to try a larger size have you ever thought to have her try on a midsize Rolex to get her thoughts?? ie. midsize yacht, midsize datejust etc.... I agree women look sexy sporting a mens watch.. "drool" |
