Deployant for the Rubber SMP?
Anyone have a lead on a solid deployant for the SMP rubber strap? The pin holes are pretty big and the strap is thick? What have you found?
Cheers!

I've seen pictures of people putting the Aqua Terra end links, rubber strap, and deployant on the current Seamaster Pro's.

Thanks, but I still want to use the rubber band I have. Just looking for a clasp that will work

There isn’t any that will work with the current rubber strap.

Yeah, I also was thinking it'll be a stretch to find a deployant that works. Maybe scouring the web for aftermarket components will turn something up, but I don't think Omega ever made one that will work on the SMP's standard strap. Maybe another good watch brand who make diver watches on similar straps, such as Breguet, Blancpain, etc. will have something in their catalogs. The hard core diver watch brands (Aquadive, etc.) probably eschew deployant clasps, so I'm guessing high-end brands are more likely to have something.

I’ve looked into the deployant clasp and the only good solution is the AT rubber strap. Expensive but guaranteed to fit by the OB salesguy. 3 pieces need to be ordered. Strap, clasp and spring bars. I don’t hate my rubber strap on my SMP enough to justify the expenditure but if you don’t care, the AT strap is indeed an upgrade

Rubber straps
Is there anyplace to acquire the rubber Aqua Terra straps? I wanted to get a gray one with my Teak dial 38mm but the gray one only comes on the white dial. Shame Omega doesn't sell those straps separately...

Call up your local AD, they can order one for you. $250-$300 I would guess. Deployant sold seperate, but they can order that too.

Call the closest Omega Boutique. Rubber strap will probably be $250, deployant another $250, and whatever the cost of the endlinks are. Endlinks aren't cheap so don't be shocked to drop $600 pretax.

The Aquaterra rubber doesn’t have endlinks as far as I know. The little metal bit is integrated into the strap.
But yes the deployant is about the same as the rubber, so $500ish all up |

Those metal pieces don't come with the rubber strap so you have to purchase those separately.
