Vacheron Constantin Overseas

Become a bit obsessed with this model! Never seen one in person I’m very inclined towards the YG one I’ve attached a photo of.

Would love to hear some owner reviews of this watch, be it the steel version or PM.

I absolutely love the bracelet and would be interested to hear how it wears.

Every different from any other watch I own.

Yes, a real beauty, I don’t own one but have tried on a SS three hand version at dealer in NY, it’s not a small watch. Feels much more substantial than an AP RO 15500.

I love the OS but it is BIG. I advise you to try first before purchasing it

Yeah it does look big in most photos. I wear a sky dweller/sd43 daily so I reckon I should be ok.

Definitely. I have a 6.25" wrist and the OS has the lug to lug width of a 38mm Royal Oak, so don't find it wears big at all. The time only model may feel more like a dinner plate bc of its relative thinness vs. a dual time (I own the black). The chrono is obv a different story as its 42.5mm vs 41.

ah really i did not know this information. The gold one is definitely the more appealing to me, which is the chronograph. I'm yet to really delve into particular references but im pretty sure this will be my next purchase, ill have to find one to try on of course and there does not seem to be many around at all.

any pics of yours would be great

I own this second generation chronograph in stainless steel. It's a superb watch because of all the quirks which VC rinsed away with the Gen III. The 12 o'clock big date, and the oversized 30 minute chrono counter are the features that differentiate this chronograph from the mass of others available, and they are functionally practical. Extreme legibility, superbly functioning bracelet and excellent water resistance help make this a true sport chronograph for people who actually use a chronograph.
I've never tried on the gold version on bracelet but even in SS this is a weighty watch.

ah the big date is probably one of the features i like the most here as pictured on the YG model. so i would be looking for a discontinued model then correct?

it sounds perfect!

thanks for your input.

Yes, the Gen3 comes with 3 strap/bracelet options all to quickswap. I prefer it on rubber because it's a great strap and I have other bracelet watches, but the bracelet is very neat! Just a cool watch

So is that Gen 2 chrono imo, it just was out of consideration for me bc 42.5mm is too big on my wrist for real

It is the VC OS Chrono that wears very LARGE as it is quite thick. I have a 6.7" wrist, maybe a bit less and can easily wear a 41MM AP ROC, however the VC OS Chrono was way too big on my wrist

Oh Jay ... I’m afraid for your pocket book

I’ve tried on many of the SS references and they indeed are gorgeous. They do wear larger as some have said, so you might need to think on that.

I have yet to see the blue dial overseas, but I last tried on the black and white chrono ... it was a stunner.

Good luck deciding

Love my gen 2 chrono. It's a complete sleeper IMO. The equivalent AP is twice the price and for me the VC is the more wearable watch.

I like the gen 3 versions but the in house movements add a little thickness if that matters to you. The dual time gen 3 is a watch I have considered as a "sell everything for one watch" piece as the interchangeable straps are amazing! Only reason I haven't yet is I can't decide between the black and the white :)

Ha.. I’m really hooked on this one. I did see in some of the comments you considered one a while ago. I read through the whole owners thread the other day. Definitely want one. What’s the reason you decided not to purchase one in the end?

Really torn on which model to buy I am not a fan of blue but this one is something else truly. There’s not really a model I don’t like to be honest. Still need to try some on though as the Gen 3 chronic does look big but I think I could handle it. I do love the look of the slightly older ones too.

I’ve considered your model slot with the white dial, it looks amazing and you’re right for the price it’s ALOT of watch.
