Does anyone have a satellite phone? If so, which phone and carrier do you have? What has your experience been?

From my research it seems the two major providers in the market are Inmarsat and Iridium.

I rented one for a fishing trip I was going on way up north Canada. It worked ok...not nearly as well as a cell phone. I was happy I had it. Poor weather was moving in and the pilot that flew us into the lake wasn’t able to get us out for 2 more days.
