Watch Protector Film for my DEEPSEA 44

Recently just got my watch protected by this film, it covers most of the important areas like the bezel, case sides and buckle to name some..

I know watches are meant to be worn and scratched for daily use but I feel that even mobile phones are protected by screen protectors and casing so why not watches? And it looks almost invisible too so it doesn't affect the looks at all

I got it from and there are a number of models available too. Just a recommendation for those who are keen to protect it. Cheers There are easy instructional videos on how to apply too.

Sorry why buy one of the toughest mechanical watches in this world today to cover it in sticky back plastic defeats me.Today most all Rolex watches get such a pampered life today, even these everyday wearing scratches easily rectified at normal routine service.

Watch Protector Film for my DEEPSEA 44

Good for you OP. It’s definitely not for me but everyone should wear their watch however they want.

Out of curiosity, how well do these stickers hold up to water exposure? I.e. saltwater, pools, regular cleaning, etc.

Yea, I think dents are far more significant and I doubt stickers will prevent those.

Looks like what it is - a watch with plastic on it.

I think it’s a ridiculous concept but I’m sure there are quite a few members on here that are very interested in these things.

I had a cover on the crystal of my Garmin and found it got marred up pretty easily. It protected but quickly began to look like crap. I'd have to be continually changing the plastic covers. Let us know how it works out for you. I wonder how well they'll hold up.

A Rolex needs to be worn like it should, creating his marks, embedding its life into the metal. Remove the plastic and enjoy your watch. It only becomes more beautiful with the years.

To each their own.

I think you’ll find that they do I fact detract from enjoying the beautiful polished and brushed surfaces that you pay good money to Rolex to own, but that’s just me

Your comparison of the most insane Rolex dive watch to mobile phones kind of highlights the problem imo, but to each their own.

I would take a look at some of the posts of people who have beat on their watches and then what they come back looking like after a RSC service...they can make it look like a brand new watch if you'd like.

At least the OP took the watch out of the box. But sorry the protective film isn't for me.

Unfortunately, the pics are too small to see what it really looks like. How obvious is it that the plastic is on the watch?

I've often thought about it for my DD because of how easily marked up gold is. Haven't considered it for any of my SS watches.

Yeah, its really to each on their own imo.. Its stated that is water resistant and wont turn yellowish, well lets see how it went :)

It looks almost invisible so I wont think it will affect the looks on my watch, at least I wont be afraid of wearing it for desk diving for now lol..

Phone screen protectors and cases prevent the phone from smashing if dropped.

Can't see the point of this.

I personally don’t use screen protectors.

What happens if your protective covers get scratched? Maybe there is a protective cover you could put over those to protect from scratches lol.

Do they come in other colours too - For example yellow or rose gold to make a two-tone or all over PM finish ?

I don't have film on my watch, but I always get a chuckle out of the responses these threads elicit. And how many of those detractors also have protective film on their vehicles...

OP, enjoy your watch, it is a beaut!

OK. I’ll ask....

So, um, uh, for the last 12 years you've been here you never caught all the positive reasons for leaving stickers on Rolexeses?

Only my thing but I appreciate that in SG it's more normalised to shrink wrap stuff.

The parts you are protecting are quite resilient and easily repaired. Why dull the brilliance of the watch?

I can't understand why you'd want to turn beauty into something ugly but I know for sure you've a right to do it if you want to.
