Need help: Seiko hardlex

I scratched the Hardlex "crystal" on a Seiko
Can this be fixed, i.e. buffed out, or is replacement the only option?

Thanks in advance

From what I understand it's very difficult to polish out so replacement or sapphire upgrade is your best bet.

Thanks Dan

I have been buying <$1,000 Seiko's for years and have never scarred a Hardlex. The first >$1,000 one I buy I manage to stuff up within 1 month! Go figure.......

I will check if I can find a sapphire for this particular model, a SBDC007.

Thanks Nanuq, the value of the forum is proven again
I contacted Harold, bought the sapphire replacement and got it installed today.

The Seiko is fighting fit again (better than before)!

I was gonna say Harold has a sapphire crystal for that model, but looks like you already got it! Excellent!

Buy a new one because hardlex is hard to polish.
