History of the Anchor?

Hello forumites.

I was a longtime member, a long time ago. Since when, i have forgotten my log in credentials, so here i am back, a zero post member, but back in the fold.

took some time off of watch forums, but never rolex love.

anyway, as my first post back, and forgive me if this is "old hat" discussion, but can anyone fill me in on the history of the anchor that used to come with at leas the Sea Dweller? I've had mine for a long while, but i dont think they come with the new crop of divers, do they?

anyway, here is a picture of mine, i just dug out to play with.

cheers and happy to be back folks.

Nick

Nick,

I cannot speak to when Rolex stopped including them in with purchase but I believe there was a time when both the Submariner and the Sea Dweller included the anchor.

My SD4K did not include the anchor, so perhaps the previous model SD (ref is escaping me at the moment) was the last to include the anchor. Would love more history on this myself.

I was lucky enough to get the sweet screwdriver/dive table after market - wish they still included that with purchase as well.

Submariner used to have the anchor. I cannot provide you with any additional info on it.

A water based tool synonymous with the Navy i.e. the Submariner?

I recall some mention that the anchors with the 16600s disappeared shortly after the box change in the late 2000s?
