AP 2021 Release Rumors

I desperately want this one but since it’s between 200-300k, it’s a touch out of reach

Yes, that one is hot. Very hot.

Too bad AP keeps releasing unobtanium pieces. Even if we had the funds (and some of us on this forum do) we'd still never get one of 100 allocated to us.

Indeed!

That said, I can't find anything on the website. It's horribly disorganized compared to the old one (with respect to watch collections).

Buggy too. Can’t see legacy models. The filter from all watches doesn’t work. Etc.

don't really like the new dial design language of AP's chronograph and chronograph tourbillon. I prefer their unorthodox style of tourbillon like on their current style of concept watches.

if the new movement is thinner than the old one, I would be disappointed that AP didn't use a slimmer case.

Wait, is there supposed to be a new movement in the ROO Diver?

I didn't think so.

As far as I read, it's just the "refreshed" RO Chrono that's getting the CODE 11.59 chrono in-house movement, but that hasn't dropped yet.

Granted, this could all just be rumor, since I don't always trust what I read on Instagram.

It’s an upgraded movement from older divers to align with the 15500 and CODE time only pieces (c.4308)

The 4308 is thicker than the the 3120, when the 15500 was released, thickness went up a hair from the 15400/3120 combo

The new 43mm ROOs will get the c4401 flyback that it’s in the CODE Chronos

No kidding. Wow. That's awesome.

Thanks for the details!

A bit baffled by the roll-out - did Monochrome-watches jump the gun on the embargo? Not a peep on the AP website or IG.

There's a lot to like here, even in the attainable part of the selection, although it's short of being totally blown away for me. The half-ceramic Code is intriguing. I assume the YG/green ROC is for special people only.

Kudos to Monochrome, honestly.

Everyone else is slackin'. Hodinkee and SJX only have the Jumbo posted. Blog to Watch has none.

I think it’s also interesting in price segmentation. I thought it was a mistake to hike the code prices up as much as they did with all the lines last year. Here if the half ceramic code goes down and so say code Chrono is now 45k usd and new RO gold on strap is 50-60k, I think the pricing across the line has been corrected.

Liking the new fixed date windows. Not sure how I feel about off centered sub dials though, but overall a better geometric layout in the RO symmetry design challenges for this iteration IMHO.

The new 43mm case ROO tourbillon chrono movement architecture is greatly done... they did it right with the code too with this chrono tourbillon...

41 ROC got new movement too, but it will be a brick with increased thickness...

AP 2021 Release Rumors

Revolution coming through in the clutch with pricing and it’s quite competitive compared to a Patek with their in-house movement!

Interesting on the ROC it looks like they have aligned the date window but then moved the chrono dials slightly onto the upper plane?! They must really want to leave some asymmetry for the haters to complain about!

I'm honestly super tempted to get the CODE 1159 in WG.... but at 62k SGD... Not sure if to continue to pursue the WG 116519 or switch attention to this...

Same as on the Code chrono (unsurprisingly). Can't say that it bothers me.

Oh interesting! I didn't look hard enough to notice this. :(

Any chance someone here can cook up a side-by-side image for comparison?

What is the new thickness of the 41 ROC with inhouse movement?
