I'm so glad I live where I do
I have 3 different AD's that will all do bracelet adjustments for free Plus, I just found another AD that brushed out 3 oyster bracelets for me, last Saturday, for NOTHING......I argued back and forth with the watch tech about taking $20 to buy lunch and he said it was against policy........I finally had to leave the $20 on the counter and just walk out saying "do what you want with it".... |

I adjust my own bracelets, but I bought a 78360 brand new and the screws were impossible to adjust and I didn't want to scratch them, so I took it to my watchmaker and he used his trick -- a soldering gun. He still had trouble getting it. But he moved the link (to balance it on my wrist) AND changed by bezel and charged me $20. He also used loc-tit on my threads upon my request.
Talk about cheap... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im just imagining all the hundreds of people who bought Rolexes at discounts here and then show up at AD's to get them adjusted. And want it done for Free.

Life is about exchange. It started with bartering bread for eggs etc. no one should work for free. Marketing is something different and if I felt you were a potential customer I would be obliged to perform a minor service.
Otherwise that sounds reasonable for someone's time, efforts and use of tools. I am sure the electricity, lease and equipment is not free. |
