"ROLLERBLADE" Inline Skating....!

Anyone here do this for a cardio workout and who makes some of the top end 3 and 4 wheel inline skates.. This has surely raised my interest up but looks like another way for me to crash and burn like I do cycling on occasion. Looks like 3 wheels is suppose to be better now then 4..?

Used to love roller blading in Hyde Park, London when I was early 20's. Not sure why I stopped.

You might prefer roller skiing instead of rollerblading.

25 years ago, I found rollerblading offered an unsatisfying cardio workout.

The University of Denver xc ski team practices on our neighborhood streets and I have been very interested after seeing their workouts.

If you have ever tried skate skiing and enjoyed the cardio aspect, you would like this.

It's been a few years, but I was doing this as an adult even when it became uncool. Tons of fun, I don't care.

As someone who ice skated out of the womb, I have never tried rollerblading.

When I lived in LA there was a pickup rollerblading hockey game down by the Santa Monica pier on the weekends but I never tried it. I was always concerned that I'd try to do the same moves that you can do on the ice and I'd eat the pavement.

There are lots of roller hockey rinks around though.

I used to rollerblade lime a fiend about 4 years ago. I’d go 21 km every Sunday morning down in the beaches. Sadly, my feet aren’t up to it any longer....

It has been a long time since I was into rollerblading, but it is an excellent cardio routine. As for the best inline skates, Rollerblade brand was and I suspect is a good brand for a beginner. Try an entry level boot and go from there. All the hockey/ski brands have skates these days, but not sure they are any better than Rollerblade brand. Be sure to get the wrist guards, knee and elbow pads if you are a beginner and on the fragile side (that's what happens when we get older!).

I don't do it any more but need to! I used to place ice and roller hockey - really enjoyed skating. Have a pair that I should try to break back out once the weather gets a little nicer.

Definitely not as popular as it once was and you may get filmed and put on the gram lol.

In my early 30s I once clocked about 24 miles in 80 minutes. It seems impossible now but I did complete "the loop" three times in about an hour and twenty minutes.

About 15 years ago I gave up the 'blades but could probably do a moderate ten miles. A couple decades ago fairly high-end blades were $220-$300 a pair. Full pads are strongly recommended - wrist, elbow, knee, helmet, gloves. Do not put your hands out if you are falling without serious protection; take the fall across your whole body.

This made me laugh. BreguetRolex does not do anything entry level!

Used to skate, but on quads.

Bauer were the brand to have back in the day. Used to play skate hockey too for fun with friends. Lots of options for upgrading the wheels etc. too.

My knees are still covered in scars from it. Never used to wear any pads or protection, but bounced like an elasticband ball in my teens. These days I feel at least slightly more fragile so padding up is strongly recommended. Broken wrists are a very common injury.
