Need some datejust 41 with Roman pics
I'm thinking about mixing it up a bit and getting a datejust with romans. Does anyone have any 41 pics? Preferably fluted/jubilee, but I'll take what I can get. I think I'm torn between the white and azzurro blue. In theory I think I'd like the blue since I plan on getting a white daytona, you know, when my name comes up on the list in 1-10 years :), but also am not sure how the lighter shade looks in different lighting.
As said before, any pics would be much appreciated! |

Dial looks great in different lighting conditions and angles. Really pretty watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the dial does get a touch darker in certain lighting? All the pics I feel I've seen so far seem to have the dial as a touch darker than aqua, but that second one looks quite awesome! |

Yeah, it does change depending on the lighting. Looks brighter and lighter in sunny environments to a deeper and darker blue indoors. It was a bit more youthful looking than the darker blue with baton markers, even though that was pretty as well. Personally, I really like the white dial with Roman markers that was released the same time as the azure blue Roman version.
Honestly, you can't go wrong with the Datejust 41. It's a great watch in all of its variations.

I've tried on all the variants - not really my thing.
I don't like the random one stick of lume. Same reason I'm getting rid of my OP 39...if it were all white gold markers, I'd like it. But the three lume sticks, I don't know, I can't stop staring at them...in a bad way. |

How come you chose the blue over the white/roman? |

I love the Roman's on my Wimbledon dial and that Azzurro blue is stellar. For some reason on the white dial I prefer the Roman's over the sticks on a DD but not on the DJ41. Different tastes I guess but you cant go wrong. Happy Choosing...

It’s funny how you mention the random lummed marker. It’s interesting because I’ve contemplated a Roman numeral numbered dial a few times over the years but for me it is the 4. Or the IIII. Every time I look at a Roman numeral dial, I look at the IIII and I wonder why it is not a IV. I contemplated starting a thread several times asking why they use 4-I’s instead of IV. Someone has to know the answer. |

Love romans with a fluted bezel. Classic a bit more formal? The Azzuro varies in color so much.

I had not paid much attention to the white roman dial because I thought it looked somewhat bland on the Rolex website but, after your photos, I'm suddenly interested in that combination. I wouldn't mind seeing more photos of that watch while I'm searching for the real thing in a nearby AD (which might take a long time).

Was recently offered a white dial, fluted, jubilee with roman numerals. Stunning in person trust me, but passed because it was a tough time for me.
DJ41s are getting hard to come by nowadays but drop by your local AD, make yourself known as a local and they'll give you a call usually within 2 weeks. Goodluck on your hunt! |

I did start a thread a couple of weeks ago about selling my white Daytona and replacing with a Sub ND and a white Roman numerals DJ, and I know think I’m convinced that this is the way to go. |

I love romans, had my Wimbledon for a year now. I stopped to visit my AD yesterday and was offered an Azzurro but cant do fluted/jubilee, too dressy for me. It won't hit the case, probably gone now by a phone call. No lume on hands like the white (nbd) but what a Beautiful blue! thinking....
