Based on 2019 being the clean-up and loose-end year I predicted a new Sub in 2020.

Don’t be an average buyer then. Stop all of this moaning about ‘I won’t be able to get anything’. Buy more then so that you do get something. Also, if Rolex released a steel sub with blue dial and every man and his dog could just walk in and buy one, would you want that? I certainly wouldn’t. It’s the chase and the excitement of getting the call for a watch you can’t just walk into a shop and buy off the shelf

I bet for a "new" Sub, with subtle changes as usual, and especially the new caliber 3235 inside.
The current release in 2010, it's been 10 years, and the others have received the last caliber so almost certainty...

More little variations on the same basic watches. I really expect nothing from Rolex these days. This company sells too much to need to change or get better. All they do is tweak a little here and there. So Baselworld will bring nothing. Coke GMT? Well, same black dial found everywhere in the pro lineup… New Sub? Same thing with more power reserve. The last true innovation was the AK, and it was deemed too much by the fans! So Rolex will remain conservative.

50 mm Sub in wood. Its's coming and renewable.
Wood it's the new SS. The cedar version repels moths when hung in the closet when out of rotation. |

Every company ever is always planning the "biggest year" every year.
Then the CEO shelves all over the business developer's work and nothing innovative/risky gets done that year while the CEO's pockets get lined a little thicker anyways. Business as usual. |

People complain about investment or scratch threads but it’s at least as annoying with the complaining in these threads with bitter comments that nobody will be able to buy new watches and that no new movement is needed. I’m complaining myself here but anyway.. I look forward to see what Rolex has to release next year. I hope there will be plenty of unnecessaryly new movements.

If they could also make the lugs THINNER, that's all I could realistically wish for and would already be very happy.

As a recent buyer of the 114060, I would absolutely love to see this.

I wouldn't be surprised if they update more of their models with the new movements but only time will tell

They produce enough gold stuff to fill the empty space.

This would be a great opportunity to show off how they plan to highlight empty cases space.

I appreciate how Rolex stands their ground in the advent of the Baselworld dropout. I do see why the other brands do it though due to high costs. I am definitely looking forward to Tudor’s baselworld 2020 releases now that they have their own major showcase! I am sure Rolex will have a great release as well
