Canada - Datejust 41 availability

Hi!
Today I went to an AD in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and asked for a Datejust 41, blue dial + fluted white gold bezel. The employee told me this particular model was as popular (or even more popular) than the Sub or the GMT Batman. He said it may take up to six or eight months to get one. Do you agree???
Cheers

I don’t agree that it’s good, but agree that this is what GTA ADs are saying. I think you’ll get it within a few months if you put down some money though.

I saw a blue face, Jubilee, smooth bezel in the case in Cambridge just outside the GTA a couple weeks ago.

Just as hard to get as a Batman with a 6 month wait. Sign me up for a Batman with a wait that long.

I wonder if the AD just telling you that because they don’t have one in stock and they want to try to get you to buy something else that’s in stock.

I mean in fairness there are several dial options of the dj 41 steel fluted and you insisted on the only one that is in high demand.

True indeed. Asked a good many ADs and was told good luck on a blue fluted 41 on jubilee. My nearest said if they chance upon one, it will already have been spoken for. Was happy to find one from a gray dealer. It's now a mainstay of my weekly rotation.

It is true. My AD ordered this exact model in March of this yr and just got the delivery last week. Too bad you are not in New York City. Otherwise I will tell him to sell it to you.

I can tell you that DC Taylor in Collingwood had one as of one week ago. I was messaging around ADs looking for smooth bezel Oyster bracelet dark rhodium dial (which is also hard to find in Ontario!), and they told me they didn't have the dark rhodium but did have the blue. I'd also try Raffi's in Cambridge - that's where I ended up getting the dark rhodium; they have quite a bit of stock.

Edit: crap, sorry, just saw you're looking for fluted not smooth. Still, worth a check at DC Taylor since they're "outside" the GTA and not too far. Could also try Nash in London.

Nobody knows why this particular version of the DJ41 became so hot - but I speculate that it is 1) Because it is so beautiful, 2) It looks a lot like the SkyD blue dial that has become a unicorn.

Love mine!

The stuff people want is in the back. Just like at most AD’s.

I got one from Raffi at Yorkdale mall a month ago. Literally walked in, looked around a bit and the sales lady offered it to me. Mine is with the oyster bracelet.

No I don't agree. Tell them to try to stick their head up their rear and see if it fits. Do it with your best scarface impression.

It's not even in the back its at their "head office" w/e that means, like if you want one of those hard to find pieces you'd better start bundling or else no dice! but i'd try other none Raffi locations because they all share the same "head office"

That combination seems to be the hardest to find, even for women. I asked pretty much all the ADs in Ontario for mine (DJ31) and only the boutique AD had it. Other ADs said they can: 1) order but have no clue on delivery date or 2) didn't know when it will arrive and didn't offer to take down orders. Guess it's an allocated piece?

Have you tried the boutique in Markham?

ive tried most of the ADs in the GTA and surrounding areas and honestly its a crapshoot. there is so much money in Toronto that the amount of VIP clients is ridiculous. The only place that seemed to be fair about getting me a watch was Raffi SQ1. they are considered a Rolex boutique, put into place and run by Rolex under the raffi name/ location. I would try with them. they will ask for deposit and give an estimated timeline. my sub they quoted 8 months but delivered in 5.

They sell for MSRP plus tax here on TRF. OCRolexguy has one now and sold me one with stickers and it's awesome. It's holding me over while I save for the white gold olive dial DD40.
