Great AD

In the last 1,5 years i purchased two watches (a SS Sub and a ladies Longines) at Bucherer in Basel. These two buying experiences were already very pleasant. Just very friendly and capable staff.

A few days ago i quickly went in to drop something off. The salesperson i worked with in the past was busy but asked me to wait for 5 minutes. I had an appointment and needed to leave but he continued „you really want to wait”. I sat down wondering what this could be about and after a few minutes he came over and told me „Christmas came early, would you like a quick look before you go?“ Slightly confused I agreed, not knowing what to expect. He left and returned with a tray covered with a microfiber cloth. He looks at me with a big smile and takes away the cloth... a BLRO is laying in front of me! Never seen one in the flesh before, what a stunning piece. What a surprise! Unfortunately by that time I really had to leave.

Still a bit in disbelief but tomorrow it‘s collection day. Bucherer Basel is fantastic.

Congrats! Did you even ask for it or previously express interest? Pretty nice of your SA just to surprise you with it if you didn’t even express interest

I did ask about the blro in i think october 2018 but was told there was already so much interest and got the impression it was hopeless. I didn‘t persue it since then.

Now first off to swimming class with the kids and then i‘ll be on my way to the AD. I‘ll try to post pictures

Let me get this right had you pre ordered the BLRO, if not and as you had already bought two watches surely a good salesperson would try and sell you another.

True, but in today's climate that "another" is usually a Oyster Perpetual, a DJ or very expensive pm, very rarely is it a BLRO.

Congrats op. Seems Rolex is going out with a bang this year as there have been quite a few ss incomings lately.

What can I say, just awesome. Wears very different than the oyster. Very light and more comfortable for sure. The colors are great.

Very lucky indeed. They for sure don‘t just work their way through a “list“.
