I've found a pretty sizable gap in quality between some of the IWCs I've owned or handled. It appears to me that there are 2 IWC brands built into 1. I think many of their watches over 10k USD are well worth the price and come with bespoke movements for the case and have great power reserve and finishing. On the other hand, I find that their entry level watches between 4k and 7k USD have no noticeable difference in quality between them and something much cheaper that Oris sells for less than 2k.

Even their new spitfire pilot watches do not blow me away when held up next to Oris. Sure the movement is 'in house manufactured' but IWC simply building a watch with 99% same movement components as the ETA / Sellita it came with before and claiming they have an in house movement doesn't really do it for me.

To me if you're spending over 10k USD then IWC is a great watch but in the 4k to 7k USD range there are a ton of better options available for the same or substantially less money.

I think that is true; I try Sinn if you want to compare their ETA level movements

My second IWC (first one was an Ingeniuer Mission Earth 46mm). Actually, this is a replacement of a Tudor Black Bay Bronze brown dial. What do you think about this change?

I've looked at a lot of IWC models lately and I'm liking them.
