CWC Mellor 72

Hi everyone,
I’ve decided to get a new travel watch because I’m going to leave my Sub 124060 safely at home. I’m going to Peru next year and thought taking an expensive watch might not be a good idea.
I’ve seen the CWC Mellor 72 mechanical which seems really interesting. I like the idea of a NATO strap but the icing on the cake is it’s history and link to 1972 which is my birth year. Obviously, it won’t be in the same class as the sub, but I’d be interested in anyones thoughts who has one. Cheers Steve

Never heard of it, BUT you are making a good decision to leave the Rolex home when facing an previously unknown situation.
Why risk an unknown?
Hope you have a safe or other good way to safely store the watch while away.

CWC is awesome.

My favorite watch in the collection is my CWC.

Proper milsub too.

Interested to see some other suggestions, as a "travel" watch seems like a good idea right about now.

I would wear any of my Rolex in North American and "most" of Europe where I travel/am familiar with.

I would begrudgingly say that some countries a watch that could easily be "given away" is probably smart. But then I wouldn't go there...so problem solved for me personally.

That CWC is fantastic.

I always travel with my trusty Casio FW-91. It's been a companion for a decade of global adventures.
