Help! Do Panerai do this?!

Hi guys,

I have a 6 and 1/4 inch wrist and unfortunately I do think that my wrist is too small for 44mm Panerai.
I have read that the 45mm Radiomir with wire lugs wear smaller? Can anyone with similar wrist size attest to this?

Do Panerai/have Panerai made any 42mm watches with a domed crystal like you get on the 233 or 127 etc.

Thanks!

I believe there is a 42mm Submersible and the Luminor GMT can be had in 42mm as well.

Sorry, maybe my question wasn't clear. I know they make lots of 42mm watches, but I'm specifically looking for the domed crystal!

Gotcha, my mistake for not reading thoroughly!

Sounds like the PAM00683 is what you are after then. Domed crystal & 42mm (https://www.watchadvice.com.au/8328/...m00683-review/)

The PAM00728 is also domed and 42mm but it's a slight dome not as big as the PAM00683 (https://monochrome-watches.com/paner...-review-price/)

Thanks, really like the look of that 728!

Believe it or not I actually already own a 42mm Submersible- I don’t think the crystal is that domed!

Do you know of any 42mm Radiomirs with wire lugs?

I don't think so unfortunately, someone on here may be able to provide more insight. From my research the last one would've been the pam388 but it's a 45mm.

No, the true domed crystals are on 44 and 47. Anyway, the dome would add significant thickness, likely rendering a 42 too big for a smaller wrist.

Okay fair enough, thanks.

Any experience with wearability of the 45mm Radiomir with wired lugs?

I have a pretty tiny wrist (6") and I could wear my coworkers 47mm without it looking like a DeepSea challenge, since your wrist is slightly bigger, I think a 44-45mm could work for you. Anywhere local you can go try one on?

337 and 338 come to mind. There surely are others. Try googling “panerai radiomir 42 wire lugs”. ;-)

Okay good to know. Ye, I guess I'll have to put on my stab vest and travel into London once these train strikes are over!

No direct experience, but I’ve read those who think a 45mm Radiomir wears slightly smaller than a 44 Luminor. Best is to try them on.

My 45mm 210 (middle) wears smaller than the other 2 44mm (it’s a much slimmer case too). Interestingly the Submersible appears smaller than the 112 as the bezel is thicker.

Good to know, thanks.
Your 210 looks so good. I watched the HODINKEE spec sheet vid about it and loved it!

So I managed to get into a boutique to try on a 45mm Radiomir with wire lugs.

What do you think? Does it wear too big on me? Please be brutally honest!!! Thanks!

I will be brutally and unapologetically honest here by saying no...it doesn't look too big for you.

Panerai are big watches. Does it look right on your wrist? Absolutely.

This is meant to wear big, but the wire lug Radiomir models tend to look and fit smaller indeed. The 992 is really cool, plus you have a domed glass you wanted. You can also try on the new 1334 and 1335 models, they are 45 mm with domed glass and 3 day PR, plus amazing degrade effect dials 😁
