Thank you and a new watch....

All,

Thank you for your feedback in my previous thread about wether to add the OP41 to the collection. I decided to pull the trigger - so far I like it. A lot. It is not as exclusive and iconic as other Rolex watches, I know that. I really like the straight forward look and the no date on it, so the decision was based on appearance alone :-)

Of to the honeymoon - sorry for bad picture.

Nice watch, hope you enjoy it. As others will and have said, the DateJust is, if not exclusive, widely seen as emblematic of your good taste in fine watches.

The word ‘iconic’ is so overused in the current lexicon as to thoroughly dilute the significance of the object being described.

Nevertheless, you have a great watch.

This is an oyster perpetual. This model is mass produced however still pretty exclusive compared to submariners, datejusts.

I like OP41 better than a datejust 41

I wouldn’t say this is an iconic one from rolex. Maybe in time I’d say…

Datejust fluted bezel
Day date “presidential”
Submariner
Daytona
GMT
Explorer 1

These are the most iconic.

Such a beautiful piece and a classic look to it. That one will never go out of style. Love the silver sunburst dial! I know it's a new reference, but this one always gives me vintage vibes, which I love! Excellent choice OP. A big congrats! Enjoy.

After wating nearly two years for a blue or green version, I finally gave up when my AD advised he had the silver. I'm six months into it now, and absolutely zero regrets. It's a timeless, understated, classic. And a keeper!
