Without the date is the best. I'm not a huge fan of the cyclops and the only watch I have with a cyclops is my BLNR. I swapped the crystal on my Tudor Sub to get rid of the cyclops. Lucky for me didn't have to worry about that with the 114060.

With date for me. And for better resale demand. But...buy the one you like best

No date generally. I’m pretty happy with my LV that of course has a date but aesthetically it’s perfect without a date. The SD 16600 was perfect. Essentially no date symmetry and look but still has a date since I’m ADD apparently and forget the date 5 minutes after looking every time..

No date for me. It makes it look simple and not too busy IMO.

I have a 2022 LV, which I love. I recently sold a 2009 black sub date. I am already in search of a no date black sub - so nice and clean.

There is an phrase that a lot of old watch collectors used to say about people who bought the no dates: “what? You couldn’t afford the sub date?”

Jokes aside I don’t think the date version is worth the extra premium. But personally I like the date. When I think rolex I see the bubble

no date is more aesthetic but it's whatever you can get your hands on

Much prefer the date. It’s too plain otherwise.

I went traditional "old-school" Submariner for my first Rolex and happy with it. But if only had one Rolex would purchase with date function!
All my others are date watches.
Cyclops is Rolex! What used to bother me I appreciate more and more as these old pilot eyes fade.
