Your watch looks bad and can be corrected in 15 minutes.
Following advice that says "be unhappy and convince yourself to live with it for a few years" doesn't fly. Go get it fixed tomorrow. Then smile again. |

The first of many. You can lock it away in the safe and wear it for special occasions, or you can just wear it and let the chips fall where they may. Best to decide sooner than later.

First-World problems. WABI is natural if you wear your watches. And it's a mass-produced Rolex, not a big deal.

To op, enjoy your watch. That scratch is infinitesimally small. As others have said, to the extent that that is a "scratch," it's insignificant and shouldn't affect the enjoyment of your watch. Stop worrying; there will be many more. |

"You should drive around with a big dent in your BMW because if they repair that fender then the fender on the opposite side will appear uneven and BMW will fix it at your 100,000 mile tune-up which is only 9 years from now. If you think of it as a badge of honor it can make you confused enough to live with it."

I was obsessing over a dent on a gold portuguese and wasn't sleeping well until I sent to IWC where they added gold to the case to fill it in! came back as new... on the other hand my Lange 1 platinum has some scratches and I am taking pretty well so far ( I don't how long that will last but so far so good.) Lastly my vintage speedmaster is full of scratches , no lume, and still loving it a few years after.) I guess it depends.. good luck with your scratch. |

Yup same here. I hate scratches on my new watches, then after a while I don't even notice. I took a chunk out of one of my Panerais on the first day I wore it. That hurt. After about 10 days, I didn't even notice. |

I'd try the Cape Cod route although it's pretty cool there this time of year. I'm certain you've already been there.

I had the same problem as you and solved it with Cape Cod Polish. It works really well.

I have also had much success with a common sense use of Cape Cod Cloth.
Taped off surrounding areas with black electrical tape and polished away most of the concerning scratches and scuffs to a level that no long bothered me. Good luck |
