Then pull the trigger on what you want. The DJ is solid and in the now. Pepsi is down the road and frankly a bit overhyped at the moment given the negative comments about the bezel colors. Don't remember that at all about the BLNR when it came out. See the Pepsi first before you expend the bucks.

There is to much going on with different colours, numbers on bezel and a lot of hands. I understand that many would get the impression of a cheap watch.

Do you ever actually step foot in an AD? There are plenty of the WG versions to view and try on. I would assume one would do this before getting on a list for the SS version with the exact same bezel.

Personally i like the colors but some dont.

Sure do every now and then but haven't come across one that had a white gold Pepsi. I'll see the Pepsi in the flesh at an AD event in June.

I can't imagine that the SS BLNR will look cheap on the wrist.

Pictures can be awfully deceiving and, actually, I've never seen a Rolex yet that didn't look better than any images of it.

I think it looks great and oozes a look of high quality.

The images do not make it look cheap to my eyes. Quite the contrary, but I am not bitching about the new GMT like a lot on here are and I actually want one.

My wife calls the green Subs and the red/blue GMT bezels "ugly" and can't believe there is a "shortage" of either. Fortunately for me, those are not on my "wish list." Our son had a recent opportunity to buy a nearly new 116610LV from the original owner at list price but I think he let it go. Yes, the original owner was aware of the current frenzy over the LV.

I always ask my wife’s opinion before I buy my watches.

When I held my BLNR next to the WG Pepsi (of course she didn’t know it was WG) she whole heartedly said BLNR.

Her words, the BLNR is more versatile and blue / black makes sense for day and night. She thought the Pepsi colors looks toy-ish and she didn’t get the red / blue relevance (of course us WIS do).

But to answer OP question, no I do not doubt that it will not look cheap in the metal.

If the blue were bluer, I’d call it Superman. Or Captain America!

However, it is pretty blurple ... but I refuse to call it Barney. Maybe Bizarro, to keep the DC/Superman reference going.
