16610 - Submariner on Jubilee
I like the idea of leaning into the somewhat more vintage look of my Submariner 16610, and the jubilee has always kind of read as an old man's watch bracelet to me (I mean that in a good way).
I know I've seen them on some old Gilt dials. So, I thought, "Ahh, what the hell...why not?" All that said, I'll have to find some new spring bars. The Rolex spring bars (I believe they're 2mm?) are too large to fit through the holes in the jubilee. I've read the watch may be compatible with 1.8mm - not sure if that's true. I found some 20mm shoulderless (it has drilled through lugs) that are 1.7mm in the center and 0.8mm on the ends. Anyone know if they'll fit? Anyway, still can't decide quite how I feel about it. Is it a total perversion of the Sub to put it on a jubilee - let alone a non-Rolex jubilee? Maybe! |

Personally not for me on Sub. The Oyster bracelet is a classic design combination with the Sub. Like peas in a pod. Its a shared ruggedness i personally think.
GMT's look great on a Jubilee bracelet tho. Big fan of Jubilee on my DJ, super comfy. |

I never really liked the Sub on Jubilee personally. It just doesn't look right to me. I do like it on the GMT.
0.8mm ends on those spring bars are incorrect for your watch. You'll want to look for ones with 1.2mm ends, or risk wearing out your lug holes. I think there is a specific model of the Jubilee that will fit the 2mm spring bars, since the GMT also uses those bars. Can't remember the model number though... |

My impression is that you’ll need 502b or 502t endlinks on a holes case or a 63200/63600 super jubilee for a no holes case. As for the spring bars I’m only aware that 2mm fits the no holes setup. Not sure what the holes assembly would require. You can buy a massive box of spring bars in a million sizes for $20 on that auction site. Should say I’m a bit spoiled by my own current rig...

Not sure on this. Looks like the sub is trying too hard to be a GMT!

No. The horror! It looks like a Seiko. It hurts my eyes to look at your Iconic Sub on the jubilee. Please put it back on the oyster where it belongs

Seriously now please no, this is ugly.. my eyes hurt as well, my eyes hurt whenever I see a jubilee where it doesn’t belong (Subs, Batman, etc)

I found this pic online once and thought it was amazing. I have both a jubilee and a Kermit so I should give it a try!

As has been stated previously, the jubilee was an option on the Submariner previously. You can still find some 5513 Subs with original jubilee bracelets. That it’s not your look, doesn’t make a bad look. Lol. Just a bad look for you.

I personally think it’s a better look on the 5 digit references
