1991 two tone Daytona pricing
I have a buddy whose dad is wanting to sell his 1991 Daytona. Full kit papers boxes and hang tag. Anyone have an idea of what a good price would be. Thanks for the help.

Here are the additional pics. I know the seller as he is my wife’s coworker. He has offered 13800. I think it probably is a little high as this market is soft.

I’ve actually been checking prices on this exact color combo. A grey dealer will probably offer $10k and I see these sitting on sights as low as $13,500.

That is what I have been seeing. Probably need to be at 11 to 11.5k then. Don’t know if he will come down that far. I would be looking really to purchase and hold or maybe trade for something I really want.

Chrono24 & Ebay. There is currently one for sale on eBay at $13,950 with “best offer” as an option so it’ll go for less. Dealers aren’t paying more than the lowest price available for sale minus a few thousand considering the watch will most likely need a service to be sellable & a profit made.
I only spoke up because I have been literally doing research for this exact color combo recently and have been monitoring the prices. Yes it’s Zenith but this configuration isn’t commanding a premium it just happens to be the one I’m interested in after owning a 16520 & 16523 with white dials that I sold. To be clear I’m not looking to buy the OPs watch since I’m still deciding on what watch to let go from my collection.

Yes those numbers seem correct to offer on that piece in my opinion. In regards to holding I don’t see this combo going much higher in price so I’d only buy it if you want it. You’ll see a lot of this combo asking higher prices, but I do not see many sold so that says something.

Thanks heritage. I was only really thinking to hold if I could get a really good price. I am really wanting to move on a day date but buddy passed this in from his dad so I thought I would at least see if it was a really good price.

Your first post said your buddy's dad wants to sell his watch, but then your next post you say the seller is your wife's coworker?
Is your friend's father also your wife's coworker? |
