GMT hand shakes when hour jumping???

Hey Guys,

I assume this is normal as both of my GMTs do it but have you noticed than when using the hour jump feature, the other hands seem to wobble? It doesnt get out of sync or anything...just wobbles a bit. Kind of annoying considering what these cost. My Tudor didnt do this IIRC...though the date wheel broke twice under warranty before becoming trade fodder.

Didnt Rolex try to remedy this at some point with an updated jump spring or something? Both of mine have been serviced shortly after i purchased them so im pretty confident nothing is broken.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Hmmm. I did not notice that on my 116710 or my Explorer...but that isn't to say that I was paying that close attention when I did it.

The hands wobbling is a characteristic of the 3185 movement.

The 3186 movement fitted to a few of the last series 5 GMT’s and then onwards in the 116710 cures this characteristic.

If you have a ceramic GMT and you have hand wobble then something is wrong.

Both of mine are ceramic...like i said its not much. Guess its back in for service...thanks for the heads up! Ill report back when i figure out whats what...

Edit...so i just did some video watching and its no where near as much wobble as the older GMT movements. Im thinking ill just run them as is.

Here is the video i referenced. https://www.google.com/search?q=role...id:zbJxqeZ3luM
