Along the same lines, the Rolex easy link and glide lock have ruined, for me, other brands and references that lack such an on the fly adjustment.

You can always get a 1 1/4 link to get an even better fit.

I find Rolex clasps typically ugly and unbalanced. The exception is the hidden clasp on the president and on the old super jubilee.

They already messed up the new jubilee with this hideous clasp and doing the same to the president would be a step back in time towards the 1803 style.
I hope they don’t

I'm not asking for a clasp on a president bracelet. I still want the full wrap around of the president bracelet with the hidden clasp, I just wished there was a way to incorporate a micro adjustment or ez link feature similar to what the jubilee/oysters have.

How do I go about getting that 1 1/4 link? Do I have to order that through my AD?

Designing an extendable bracelet (similar to easylink) without a clasp cover seems rather challenging.

Can't think of an example from any other brand/model.

I second this idea. Check with your AD about ordering one if you can't get a good fit. They're not cheap, but, when you consider the cost of what you're into a DD for, it's well worth it.

First, though, make sure you have it sized properly so that the clasp, to include the long blade, is centered underneath your wrist.

Your friendly AD will be more than happy to help you procure one. I picked up a 1.5 link for my (18038) presidential - $700, ouch, but “worth it” considering the overall “investment.”

Didn’t know they had 1.x links. Thanks. Surprised the AD didn’t mention that. Picked mine up in December.

Different size links is your answer. But still no quick adjustment for folks who have wrists which swell and contract throughout the day, especially in warm weather.

you need a butterfly clasp for it, VC has done it

as far as the president bracelet though, i can't see them ever changing the design

I have two dd40s and have owned four. I have to say it CAN be an issue. I have to add or remove a link summer/winter. I generally try to wear it slightly loose so there room for expansion. The 1.25 link doesn’t really make any difference whatsoever in my opinion the watch is still set to one size… also it’s an eyesore as it’s a different size from the others.

I agree I wouldn’t like to change the appearance of the bracelet - the butterfly clasp someone posted above would be a good idea. Still it’s a fine watch which I love!

Vacheron overseas does it.

Here’s my 6-month old 1.5 link on a 40 year-old (unpolished) bracelet. Yes you can see it, but I wouldn’t consider it an eyesore. ;)

I mean nobody’s going to notice it actually took me a moment to find yours lol, it really bothered me though once I noticed it. I had asked the AD for an extra link and unbeknown to me they put a 1.25 link on which I didn’t even realise myself for a while. I had to take it off and buy a normal link it drove me beserk!

Been there, done that, and was a big reason I sold a DD40. Fast forward a year or so and I bought another. I’ve come to accept it

It’s a great design, but most definitely has a clasp cover. OP stated they were a fan of the uninterrupted links of the President bracelet.
