Daytona vs Day-Date

Would you trade this Daytona and some cash (not sure how much yet) against this Day-Date?

Both watches are new.

I like both. This is a draw for me. Probably get the Day Date if it’s not too heavy.

If I wanted a Day Date more than a Daytona I would. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t.

Plat. Day-Date probably cost about $20k more than this RG Daytona with baguette dial.

Take the one that you love the most.

It would depend on my personal goals/collection. I do like that DD a bit better than that Daytona combo, although it is a beauty!

I would not.
I would, however, if the DD had a smooth bezel.

I would definitely do that trade. I don't like full RG and love WG or Platinum. The DD is the heartbeat of Rolex next to a DJ. Do you have other watches that would make missing one not to significant?

Absolutely not. One has a useful complication. The other just has a day and date. Also the Daytona just looks a helluva lot better in my opinion.

If you were buying a Day Date, going from a yellow gold Daytona why wouldn’t you go to a yellow gold Day Date?

Either way, I like the DD much better.
Good luck.

Yes. Platinum hits different and the baguettes work on the DD.

I love RG and that Daytona is a stunner, but if I had to pick between the two the DD wins.

Platinum DD with smooth or fluted bezel is so beautiful and a classic you’ll enjoy for a long time,

Pretty close. Depends on your vibe.

I’d prefer the PT DD with a smooth bezel though….
