Yes or no for this trade ?
Hello!
So my AD bought Starbucks 2021 and Batman oyster 2018 For offer of total 27 K + ~ $13,500 cash for brand new 2023 unworn unsized royal oak Black dial 15510ST My heart is on blue dial …. Black dial will be a compromise but can be considered as alternative Any thoughts ? |

I wouldn’t.
Essentially that’s three watches (2 watches and cash) for one RO (and it’s not the dial color you want) But you need to do what you want. Your money, your watches, your wrist |

Depends if you'd miss the Starbucks and Batman - if you have the time, try not wearing either one for a week or so (or longer) and see how you feel. If you find yourself wishing you could wear one or both of them, that probably gives you your answer.
Personally I'd do the trade - RO's are something special and for me, even if I had the RO + the Starbucks and Batman, I'd most likely reach for the RO 10 times out of 10.. so the other 2 would go unworn anyway. |

I don’t know what the grey market prices are for any of these watches, but one RO is easily better than having a sub and gmt. Not even close.

I agree with the above re not wearing a Rolex after buying your 1st AP, I’ve been like that for 15 years. Although I really like the black dial if you really want the blue dial then maybe wait, it’s down to how much of a compromise you would be making + given that your contemplating this trade do you actually like the Rolexes or are they just stores of cash to help you get to an alternative watch?

AP 15510ST black dial is good looking timepiece but it isn't worth = 126610LV + 126710BLNR + $13500 cash. I wouldn't do it.
I love many brands of timepiece and wear them in rotation for different occasions.

Value is probably okay...but...the hard earned wisdom of long time collectors is usually pay more to get what you want because when you settle you still want it anyways and end up having to pay more (because you pay the trade spread a second time).
Do you have a friend that already has an AP you can borrow to test drive for a few days? That's the best way instead of settling first on the non-preferred dial. |

Valuation is fair but I wouldn't do it... The PV and BLRO give you a ton of wearability and versatility. Plus 13.5k is not a small amount.
I'd recommend talk to a boutique and wait OR wait for prices to come down a bit more on grey. I'd assume you can strike a deal at 35k if you wanted |

Thank you all for sharing your opinions
Ok so I will hold off on doing anything for now and wait for prices to come down and buy without doing a trade |

If it’s all at market prices, might as well go for the one you want (ie blue).
You only settle if you can’t afford the blue premium, or you got it as a boutique allocation. |
