Mother and Daughter first time Rolex

Hey everyone,

Not as fancy as most of yours but thought I’d share mine and Mums Rolex watches that we bought second hand with the money from selling my late Dads classic car. We wanted a keepsake and a Rolex seemed ideal.

Mine is the 26mm gold and steel jubilee with a diamond set champagne dial as I have tiny wrists and mums is the 31mm gold and steel jubilee with a striped champagne dial.

We both couldn’t be happier with them!

Hey, curb that "not as fancy as yours" thoughts! Yours are perfect in every way; must avoid the pissing contest that often takes place. I'm sorry for your loss of your father & it sounds like you & your mom made the right decision to remember & honor him. Enjoy your watches in good health!

They look perfect. I’ve been thinking of getting the exact same configuration as yours (the 26mm) for my mother as a 70th birthday gift. How are you enjoying it?

I’m absolutely loving my watch and couldn’t be more happy. The 26mm was perfect for me as I have tiny wrists, my strap is as small as it will physically go and anything bigger just looked silly on me. I’m sure your Mother would love it!

A nice thread spoiled a bit by your classless reply.
I didn’t see any sign of a contest?

Nice choice of watches, enjoy wearing them.

Condolences for your loss.

I genuinely think you misunderstood the comment. OP suggested their watches weren’t as noteworthy as others. Piratfisk suggesting the opposite.

So sorry for you loss but what a wonderful memorial - every time you look at your wrist, it generates a memory. I really like this idea.
