I sincerely hope I am wrong. On Monday first thing, you should bring the watch to your local RSC for verification. You need to see the 3130 movement to be absolutely sure. Please keep us updated.

Imo the watch is fake.

1. The rehault engraving is wrong, it is different compare to genuine.
2. Bezel platinum infill is too grey n done badly.
3. Bracelet SEL with significant gap.

Please send the watch back and get a refund. The watch is a Chinese fake. Your pictures are good and clearly show this. The engraving is bad, like the engraving on all fakes. Many other details show it is 100% fake

Real vs Fake

Please let us know what happens and if you have any trouble getting a refund.

Actually the person who is selling this is has an incredible nerve. He has obviously worn it for a year or two and then sells it for 5k after it broke. Outrageous!

I noticed the wrong engraving font and style from what I have seen from comparison videos on YouTube. The hour markers are also too thick.

Hour markers are a definite tell, among many other problems. Same goes for the lume pip on the bezel.

I just can't figure this whole story out. The OP seems to know his way around watches but he was scammed by a low quality fake. Somehow it does not add up.

OP pictures confirm it's fake.

OP - Do not waste your time visiting AD. Instead contact Paypal/Ebay to get your money back.

The brushed finish seems very rough and un-Rolex like to me. And the inside of the clasp around the glidelook looks very very ropey. As does the bezel.

hi,
back from the AD, the rolex guy told me all OK.
i guess i will have a respons in 1 or 2 weeks about the repair costs.

i had the opportunity to see it on the micoscope at workand;
1) i agree on the color of the PVD to be darck on the bazel, i wonder also.
2) the EDM job on the bazel is to precise to be a facke, on the bottom the EDM is so sharp that it will take a really new precise machine to be replicated.
3) the crown etched at 6, is a master pice of precision, as in point 2 unlikely, unless top machinery.
4) the engravins on the inner ring, also nice, the photo posted to compare my and facke should be enlarged at the same scale, then the prcision can be compared.
5) and so on about manucaturing precision parts.

but i may be wrong, will see in a few weeks what rolex reports back.

sorry about my spelling and coise of words, english is not native for me.

rolex 114060

@NiXoN69

Sending the watch to an Authorized Dealer (AD) is not conclusive yet. Frankly speaking, many salespersons know zip about what they are selling.

After receiving or accepting the watch. They will in turn send the watch to Rolex Service Centre. As you are from Penang, I understands why you are unable to go to the RSC (Menera Dion) in KL. Only the technician in RSC with the proper tools and machines are able to confirm if the watch is Swiss made or China’s finest copy watch.

I think you will be in for a rude surprise.

I know, AD is just a dealer, but they handle Rolex all day, they know a bit.
And no, they did not open the watch, they just deal with the watches.

There will not be a rude surprise, just the hustle with PayPal if it is not original or in part not original.

Bezel insert is definitely off, way off. Also fit up of end links to case look off, not quite the fit you would expect to see.
Dont do it...

Ihope you are right about PayPal. The bezel looks really off,, i watch my rolexes under a loop sometimes for enjoyment and this bezel looks not the right colour, also the numbers are not as perfect filled as it should. I see more besides this, the small lume-drop in th triangle and other things don't look right !!! most people in the AD(i think) have no clue about the watches and just ''sell'' them i think

I think the OP is trolling us lol. That thing is so bad. I can’t see anyone that handles Rolex on a daily basis ever giving this thing a pass. Get your money back, or don’t, as you seem to be very happy with it.

That service order above is a complete joke. Notice the model number scratched out and 114060 written in and then the serial covered over. Yeah, sure, thats convincing.

We are always encouraging members not to disclose the SNs on their watches. It's clear the OP redacted personally identifiable information from the report, SN included; there's nothing suspicious about that. The model number was likely a careless mistake by the AD due to habit, which was caught and corrected; the Sub Date is the more common model. At first glance, it does seem odd that the AD wouldn't have told OP the watch is fake, but it could be the AD's policy not to authenticate watches for liability reasons, and simply leave that to the RSC.

This will not work out in OP's favor. Assuming he is being straight up with us, the best he can hope for is a full refund from PayPal. Whether being no worse off than he was before he made the purchase was worth all the time and trouble involved is his call to make.

Interesting that OP so strongly ignored everyone's opinion as he actively pushed the legitamese of this watch. 2 weeks in UPS ?? Took him that long to source a copy of a service receipt.
Did he ever provide the link to the seller ? Can that clasp be taken apart ? Me thinks this trolling effort is apparent when you list the inconsistencies.

I certainly don't think so.
I tracked his package in the link he sended before and it is indeed delivered just yesterday… I think he is deadly serious i'm afraid…

But everyone here can clearly see that this is not a Submariner…….. .…. ………. why did he do this?

Receipt is dated October 7, not July 10. European date format. He posted the scan the same day he took the watch in.

I don’t know what you’re waiting for even if authentic it’s not a good deal.. just get your money back and save a little more and buy from a trusted seller so there is no guessing whether your watch is authentic or not... jeez
