Finally a Rolex Owner :)
After all these posts, and questions, I finally get my Milgauss.
When I put my ear to hear, the ticking is mad, several per second, which I guess would be expected if the second hand is supposed to move 8 times per second. The ticking is unlike any other watch I have ever heard. |

Thank you for the feedback :)
Hi everyone.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Everyone I have shown the Milgauss to all say the same thing, she's heavy and beautiful. I know when I'm wearing it, that is for sure. I purchased a watch winder so when I go to bed, it's winding clock wise. I have been informed that for the modern models of Rolex (at the very least), it has been built to have a preference for a watch winder to rotate it clockwise, as opposed to counter clockwise, or both. If anyone can verify to the contary, I'd be happy to hear about it. |

I have the same watch (bought from an authorised dealer) and there's a ticking sound too but I read this article (http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/4-s...235500358.html). Is point 1 of the article about the "ticking noise" even true? I am in doubt (of the article). Any comments from experts?

Well thanks for the info dawnjc. I was 99% convinced that my Rolex was real, so I took it to a RSC and they took 5 minutes to examine it. He took down the serial did a full history check, took out the powerful magnification tools looked deep into the dial, then listened to the ticking sound.
Returned approved and all good. However recommended the service, as it was pre loved and over 5 years old. |
