Just bought this watch. Had to have it the first time I saw it. 42mm the perfect size.

The Explorer 2 is a very nice watch indeed, but not a to wear, I feel, for all occasions.
That's why my discision was for the Explorer 39mm, which I wear 24/7, covering a dress range from sports, in the gym and the tux. The Explorer 39mm for me, the perfect watch! Beautiful! |

Glad you're enjoying the new watch, however your dismissiveness of the 39mm Explorer should not go unchallenged. It's clean looks and versatility make it a very desirable watch.

Ironically, this review & pics made me miss my 39mm Explorer 2 very very badly.
I don't think I could wear the big orange hand. |

This post is just what I needed to help me with my decision. I sold my 16570 awhile ago but now I wish I had it back. I have been toying between the two also and I think you just helped me with my decision. 216570 it is..
