What pens are in your grail /dream list?

By grail, I mean it's achievable, but with some scarifices (e.g. sleeping in the doghouse).
By dream, I mean you can only dream about it, there is no practical way of acquiring it.

For me, the grail list:
1. MB Proust
2. MB JP Morgan
3. MB Prince Regent
4. David Oscarson Celestrial
5. MB Imperial Dragon (silver)

Dream list:
1. MB Charlie Chaplin
2. MB Lorenzo de Medici
3. Omas Spanish Royal Family

Well I got two of my grails this year, the Nakaya and my vintage duofold.

By the end of the month another will have arrived, my first Italian pen, a montegrappa, pre Richemont era limited edition Historia from 1999 mint condition and it comes with the beautiful hard bound book and all the other papers and boxes, can't wait!

I think Richards Omas is high on my grail list as well and next year I want to get a nice old MB 149.

Also, to complete my Duofold collection a nice ebonite lucky curve big red, again I have that one planned for next year but it has to have the right nib so I will take my time and be fussy!

Oh yes, my dream list, one that I can't quite manage yet would also be the Charlie chaplin MB, which of course reminds me I want an Agatha at some point as well...It never ends!

I love MB Bordeaux, it is such a classy shade, I wish they did the 149 it in it would look spectacular!
If the Mozart is like my Chopin it comes with a lovely CD as well!

Unfortunatly I don't know enough about the pen word to have a list but you can bet I'll checking out all the ones on your list. Someone posted a photo of a MB (spider?) , I like it alot. I was talking with a friend the other day who builds kit pens and was telling him I needed to look at a few of his FP's. We were talking about MB and he said he knew someone who had just come back from overseas and loaded up on MB for like 30.00 each. I would assume that these are knockoff /fakes. He insisted that they were the real thing and that they were cheap in Asia. Are the counterfitters hittting the pen market the same way they are watches?

The problem with Grails is that after your acquire them, there is always another that seems to pop up somehow!

Recent acquisitions.

Waterman Edson Sapphire.

Omas Arco Paragon.

For sure. The most prevalent fakes are on the ballpens and rollerballs. They are REAL good fakes and very difficult to spot unless you have the genuine article side by side for comparison.
There are fakes also in FPs and from what I know the fakers cannot reproduce the piston filling mechanism so for the time being the piston filler MB's are not copied, yet.
If you see a MB fountain pen and it's on a cartridge or on a converter, and you know that from the Montblanc site it's a piston filler, then 99% it's fake.

Also, the ordinary fakes have a very common serial number e.g. EN1340225.

Absolutely. I just closed a deal for a couple of my grails today. Will show them when I get them.

Somehow I still don't find the Hemmie smiling to me... good for my wallet

Now need to compile the grail list revision 2.

I would love to have a gem encrusted David Oscarson pen one day. He has three 1 of 1's... each one has been bought by the same woman, for her husband.

Which is something, when they run over $100,000 each. How do I get a wife like that?!

He has offered to make me one, but, I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a pen!! A watch, yes....

It is a little easier spending that kind of money on a watch

For me I would love to have:
1. MB Proust Fountain Pen.
2. MB Y2K Precious Dragon (black resin with diamonds).
3. MB Lorenzo de Mad.
4. MB Mann.
5. MB 149 Vintage 50's, 60's or 70's in OBB/OBBB.

Did I mention MB
