Jewelers Mutual Mandated Deductible...

Hello,

Not sure if others have run into this with Jewelers Mutual regarding insuring PM pieces.

I am trying to insure my new date date for 42k (MSPR)

They stated they will insure it, but my deductible is going to be 2500.00

I think that is too high

Have any others that use them experienced them stating a hard number for the deductible ?

Thank you

It's been a while since I checked. I'm hoping to add a new piece tomorrow if everything lines up. I'll be happy to reply then.

The higher the deductible the lower the premium. I always have my deductibles as high as they allow.

i've insured PM Rolex with under $500 deductible. Including a DD40, but I didn't insure anywhere close to 42k. I believe I insured my DD40 for about $28k. I also Insured a PM Daytona for about $25k, also with a deductible of a few hundred.

I haven’t had that problem. My 5712 is insured for around there and I was able to determine my own deductible.

this. OP you really gonna be mad if you sell your stolen DD for $39,500 to the insurance company? if so why don't you ask a trusted seller here or an AD what they would give you (it will be far below that price)?

now I will say this, as to your original question no one can evaluate the reasonableness without knowing the annual premium. if you are in los angles last i check the crime rate was not exactly low.
