I have a 7.5 wrist and sold my original SD43 as I wasn't sure about the size and heft. Added a few since then, and then a couple months ago got the call on the BNRL on jubilee - which I promptly picked up.

Then a couple weeks ago they called me for another SD43, which I also picked up. Now I find I wear the SD43 quite a bit - alternating with the BLNR. I think maybe if it was a one and only I'd want the BNLR, but if you plan on having more than just the one then starting with the SD43 and adding to it is a nice way to go!

Totally, though the size does take a little getting use to.

I understand the doubt because a new BLNR will be very hard to obtain through any AD. I would also advice to try it on, but don't let the AD decide for you what to buy.

If you decide to not to get the SD43, let me know I’m in NYC been trying to track ones down for over a year

You know what to do! Let’s see some pics when you try it on. And good luck.

i have it and to be honest it’s a bit too heavy to wear. if this will be your only/daily watch i would not recommend it. Sub date or GMT wears much better

Buy what you like. If you like the way the watch fits, go for it.

Love my SD43 and it’s my daily watch. I get complements on it regularly and it fits perfectly on my 7.25” wrist.

You may actually be surprised to find out the case sizes are not as different as you may initial think. This video provides a great comparison:

I also love my GMT but it doesn’t see as much wrist time as the SD43. But as others have said, go and try it on and see how you feel. For me, the standard sub was always a bit underwhelming and the SD43 was the perfect amount of wrist presence.

The added purchase history will also likely get you a bit closer to that GMT allocation.

I bought both the SD43 and the BLNR in December and January, respectively. The BLNR was a dream for me that I had been chasing for a year but the SD43 was just a watch I bought on a whim because the AD had it and offered it to me and I wanted to start a relationship with them. Fast forward 6 months I have worn the SD43 at least 10x more than the BLNR. The subdued nature of it compared to the flashy jubilee and bi-colored bezel just makes it perfect. The oyster bracelet and its glidelock are a dream to wear. Every time I reach for the watch box 9/10 times now I end up grabbing the SD43. The BLNR has been relegated to fancy nights out.

Classic 904L steel, brushed oyster on black dial and bezel sports Rolex is just so hard to beat ( Subs/SD43,Expl II 42,DSSD,Daytona)

The most practical feature I like so far is the micro adjustability of the glidelock.
I don’t think I’ll be able to wear a watch that is not equipped with it.

Been a couple days? Did you buy this baby or pass? I can’t imagine them holding it for too very long.

How many sd43s has this AD offered you? It makes no sense to sell you one then sell you another one that is exactly the same. Makes me wonder?
