Its from the mid 80's to late 80's and know as the "Boiler" dial because it looks like the dials(gauges) that are used on boilers.

Cool, thanks. Seller said it was made in 1985, but I actually doubted it because for some reason it just had a much more vintage look to me. Still a no go, however, we couldn't negotiate a price

Boiler gauge dials are pretty rare, but not particularly valuable..

"Boiler gauge dial"; never heard that name until now, but I have seen several of them. They also came on the 6694 manual wind Rolex date model in the 80's.
