A few days ago Firefox disabled a bunch of extensions because of some glitch, but I went to the add-on page just now and I was able to reactivate the ad-blocker I was using before then and it's blocking the ads without triggering my security software.

So, I'm good for now.

However, these ads only started showing up today, so they are not related to the Firefox glitch.

I'm getting one as well and about to post but checked on this thread first. We don't want this pop-up. In between ads on thread are better than this pop-up horror!

I'd pay double the current pledge to get rid of these things, they're a nuisance.

Hmm...I closed Safari and came back to site, now things appear normal without my having changed any settings. We will see.

Edit: Spoke too soon.

I just starting getting them today too, Chrome browser on an Ipad. I hope TRF is not selling these now and that whatever’s causing them can be shut down.

+2 for that. I am sure many more members would be happy to pay more for an ad free experience.

That's assuming the ads are to offset operating costs and not as a revenue stream.

It's certainly annoying.

But, hey, I don't visit that much. (Now even less)

If Steve is on the east coast of Australia, he should be getting up about now, so maybe we'll hear something soon.

Honestly not a fan. Would be nice if they could be disabled for pledge members. Not sure if that’s technically feasible.
