Got it!!

I’ve been searching for my first Rolex for quite a while - specifically a Sub Date.
I also wanted to purchase it from an AD so I could have the satisfaction of having a watch that was all mine.
The day before my AD locked down from the pandemic, I was offered my Sub date, but as we all know these were, and still are, uncertain times so I passed.

Today, I got the call, not for my Sub but rather a Sea Deweller :(

Went to see it anyway but the size, weight, higher price were all undesirable.... until I saw it! I love it. Perfect size. Just beautiful .... price still undesirable, but we always pay for thing we have want.

I’m very happy with this new watch. I love it😻 🥰

When is the price “undesirable”

It’s a sea dweller, no the ubiquitous sub with 300m

Upgraded movement and helium escape valve with deeper water resistance

This piece is well priced At both the retail or grey level

Congrats!
I had both the Sub and the SD43, but eventually moved the Sub because the SD43 just seemed a bit more "special" to me. From a functionality/wearability/cost perspective, the Sub probably makes more sense (lighter, thinner, and cheaper), but when it comes to looks the SD43 wins.
