Why wear it? Keep it in the safe ! Just think about it and look up pics when you want to see it

What’s the point of buying your dream watch if your not gonna wear it. It’s a Sub. Soldiers have gone to battle with it, divers have dived into the depths of the ocean with it. Just wear the thing and don’t worry about it.
If you’re worried about scratches, put it in a safe and open it from time to time to look at it. |

Lot's of "get used to it" comments which I also agree with but since nobody seems to be offering any practical solutions to the OP's issue, I will offer some advice regarding the small surface scratches on the polished surfaces;
My modern SS Rolex's are my daily watches and I absolutely love them because they are truly beautiful pieces that are built like tanks. However, since they see so much wrist time, they tend to pick up small micro-scratches. My AP, PP, and a few others don't see as much wrist time as scratches on these tend to bother me more and are also a bit more distracting. Anyone with a RO or Nautilus/Aqua knows how ugly a nice deep scratch down the SS bezel can look... This is not something you really have to worry about as much with ceramic SS Rolex models. When it comes to the SS Sub or SD, you are mainly dealing with brushed surfaces that do a great job of hiding small scratches. So it's really only the polished surfaces that start to look a little worn with time. Luckily these surfaces are easily corrected. Once a year, I pull out my SS models and use a Cape Cod polishing cloth on the polished surfaces (being careful not to cross over into brushed areas) and this knocks out 99% of all surface scratches in under 5 min per surface: https://www.amazon.com/Cape-Cod-Poli.../dp/B0017H3PIO ^ This is not something I would do super often as you are technically polishing the metal and removing tiny portions of the surface material. However, as a once a year maintenance item, I think it's a great way to bring the polished surfaces back to their former luster and get the new watch feeling back again. So my suggestion is to keep collecting micro scratches over the rest of the year and just hit those surfaces with a Cape Cod cloth next February. |

Once it’s been worn and scratched enough, all the scratches blend into one anyway and become the true ‘brushed’ finish.
My Seamaster which has the standard polished finish now looks brushed after 15 years. It looks amazing all the same. I’m new into Rolex ownership and the first marks did make me cringe- but once a few more are on the watch, I know I won’t see any single scratch that stands out as they’ll all start to blend into one as a finish. |

Scratches on my new sub!
How is your wedding ring scratching your Sub? You either are lefty or have very flexible hand :)

I think a set of those stickers someone talked about here in this forum will solve your problem. They sell them on eBay or amazon I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing wrong with that, its your watch bought with your money and how you choose to wear your watch is up to you, I totally support your choice just as I would if someone chooses to wear their grail watch only at weekends.

Normal to feel that way in the 1st yr of ownership. You will get used to the surface scratches eventually. Try to keep in mind that you can always get them polished out if it really bothers you when you service it down the road. Everything can be fixed, so wear it and enjoy it. I am the same way with my cars and watches when I first get them. Every scratch drives me crazy.

They happen and you get over them. Every so often, i'll notice a new scratch on mine. Meh. They'll take care of it in 10 years when I send it in for a service.
