It happened!

I bought my first Rolex on 6/6/20 - a SD43.
I was really hunting for a sub, but fell in love with the SD at first sight.
Soooo, in the past 20 days, the SD has become my partner in action.
I’been to the beach, pool, boating, offshore fishing, bike/jet ski and motorcycle riding with it. I’ve played with my kids and gone to diner with my wife.

Today, I noticed 3 small scratches on the clasp. Likely got them when using the computer for work. :(
I can now de-stress about getting my first scratch.
I’m ready to continue to gather adventures /life( and scratches - I’m sure).
Excited to live my life with my new daily partner.

Congrats! I remember the day I picked up my Ceramic Sub.

As far as the scratches go, your going to have to get over that especially if you never take it off like I do. Otherwise you will be worrying about it all the time. I remember hitting mine on a door knob the first week I had it, I was trippin. 6 years later I actually still hit it on stuff every now and again, and my sphincter tightens every time. When it’s in perfect shape it’s natural to worry about it too much, just enjoy it.

One thing to remember is Rolex will buff it out and make it look like new again. I send mine in every 3 years or so to get it polished. They do a fantastic job.

That’s how a watch should be used. The SD43 provides so much confidence in terms of durability.

Enjoy it mate!

As far as scratches, that's life isn't it? It's like expensive/rare records. Why let them set in the pack? Why buy shoes and leave them in the box to deteriorate?
They're to be worn BUT I do always take my watch off when at my desk or computer

If you dont its a surefire way of getting the clasp scratched to hell

Best Rolex diver in my opinion, congrats. You have a wrist < 7inch, am I correct?

You forgot the desk diving picture

Just prioritised my preference with AD to the SD43, I gave 3 options of that or either Sub, as he stressed to narrow it down so that’s what I decided due to having a larger wrist, at least he is having dialogue with me now so fingers crossed.
