If you already taken your Rolex to Mexico, then you should take the one you like best but for me, I probably would take the Seiko because I would not want to take any chances with my Rolex.

Take the Seiko.

It's much safer. People don't bother about stealing a Seiko as much as pinching a Rolex.

That's not saying they wont steal a Seiko, but it's much less attractive to them.

If your watches are covered by insurance (such as homeowners), take the Rolex, enjoy and relax.

I would stay the hell out of Mexico and go some place safer! Then you wouldn't have to worry about which watch to wear.

Either way, safe trip.

I am going for a week in August and I hadn't thought about it, I will most likely not wear a Rolex.

that's what I do as well. you always have the option of taking it off and put in your pocket or hide it under a long sleeve shirt if you're not comfortable with the surroundings.

Depending on where in Mexico, take your Rolex and enjoy it. I was in Monterrey, Mexico 2 weeks ago, on a business trip and felt very safe. Folks were friendly and kind - no issues at all.

Take the SD but make sure it is insured for full replacement value. That way you will be covered if anything happens.

The SD is my weekend warrior...My baby so it might be the Sub-Date that'll be on my wrist, but still debating which watch I'll bring ..
I'm with you , but don't want to loose my SD. Now if I owned my future watch a Deep-Sea then ,I might bend alittle.

I always take a beater on vacation no matter where it is. The good watches stay in the safety deposit box while I'm away. Why take a chance.

Icon10 My Mexico watch

Hi all thanks for all your input. My watches are all insured but with the economy the way it is here and especially Mexico I decided to bring this one..My son liked the other watch I gave it to him since he don't have a watch in collage. I bought this one because of curiosity and man for the money its a steal......very well made and if I loose it won't hurt that much. BTW.I'm leaving to Mexico this Tue.

Seiko. Less stress, and you can pencil in some adoration time with your Rolex when you get home.

Get your hand insured too, there's an abundance of large, sharp machetes in Mexico!!
