LV bezle switch green to black

Hello Friends,

I just switched over my green bezel to the "Rolex restricted on the LV Sub" black bezel. Yes this is nothing new as many before have done this. I am excited as I have a maxi dial and being able to switch bezels is like giving a $6,000 check to yourself. Only need to buy one watch not two.

Forgive the so-so photos. It is a point and shoot (Cannon Power Shot SD400) cheep but works ok.

Looks great! That is the only way that I would wear an LV. Just think, if you get an old style GMT II 16710, you can have 6 different watches in one!

I think this is the nicest version of the modern Sub/Seadweller.
I made the same modification to my own LV and I really like it.

I have not seen a TT Sub blue bezel on a SS Sub, I would like to see it. Sounds cool.

For me I think I would just have kept the green bezel insert.

Which insert do you like to wear the most?

If I bought a Sub (which I hope to do eventually, after upper management approval of course) I would go for the LV every day of the week....but I would want the black swap option for definite....both look great...I love the maxi dial...

So far I have worn the green the most, I want to keep the black bezel in place for about a year, then I may go back to the green.

I am betting that you won't last 6 months and you will want to go back to the green!

The black one is by far the better look for the watch. It just belongs, personally i never got the whole GREEN thing! ok, it's fine for a change but the black just looks so much better, coupled with the maxi dial, it is perfect...

Hello everybody!

Green bezel is the reason why i got the SubLV. It is very common here to see people wearing 16610 around (black bezel), but you can hardly see someone with the green bezel.

Whichever it is, Maxi dial still rocks! :-)

Looks great! I Love the look of the maxi dial and the black bezel insert! I think I need to get a black insert for my LV.

Does this constitute a "frankenwatch" or is it just a simple modification that maintains the original integrity of the watch?

Rolex would consider it a frankenwatch.
