Will the Sub ceramic bezel fit a GMT II ceramic?

The new sub looks fantastic. I was wondering if the bezel of the new sub would fit the GMT since they both use the new case. I don't suppose Rolex would switch it out. I never use the outside bezel for the second time zone. I know this would make it a frankenwatch, so flame away!

Not likely, the design is completely different..

The GMT bezel rotates in a bearing race, and it rolls these bearings in and out of 24 detents around the perimeter of the race.

The Sub has drilled holes in the case with spring loaded wedges that protrude up and catch teeth at the base of the bezel, giving it 120 clicks. If this were to actually, physically, fit on the GMT case, it wouldn't work without the additional machine work on the case..

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I have no choice but to get the sub too!

Why would you want to change the bezels?

The only thing I don't really like about the GMT is the busy bezel. The sub bezel has fewer numbers on it and is more useful. That way I could have the GMT function and elapsed time function!
