save your money, you will need fresh liquidity sooner than you think

You guys are honestly a let down.
If you read my initial post, I am not "begging" anyone to buy me a watch. I mentioned it as a PS afterthought because the primary point I am making is that I don't really have an interest in "building a relationship" with a store. You guys often sound like you're in abusive codependent relationships with these companies.

Someone said I should "buy the watch on the secondary market." Then 30 people repeated that again and again. I'm not buying it used with a $60k mark up. Maybe you are used to it and enjoy doing that. It's ridiculous.

I have two options: (1) try my own methods for fun to see what I can accomplish or (2) not buy it.

I was really just interested in some differing perspectives. I got 1 perspective a bunch of times and it's also the least interesting one ("be more rich").

Whatever!
I'll entertain this. You came here to look for opinions and options. That's all good and fine but I don't get why you'd get defensive or insulting when you heard the options but don't like it. I get the members here can be harsh and a lot of tongue in cheek comments might be thrown around. How you take it is your choice but what else did you expect? There really isn’t a lot more that you can do. So it’s any of the following or a combination of:
- Build relationship and be patient
- Buy on the secondary market
- Spend a LOT of money and exceed your “kind of rich” status with the AD
- Get lucky or know someone who is willing to vouch for you or buy for you

If you are resourceful, then perhaps the fourth one is your only option at the criteria you set. I hope that's useful to you.

He’s not - and that’s a problem these days if you want to buy an entry level Patek (however counterintuitive that sounds…)
