SBGW279 arrived

I've never owned GS before. I popped open the box and my only words were "are you kidding me?" The blue is electric blue and the best dial I've ever seen. The kind of watch where I just want to stare at the dial in the sun from every angle. The size is perfect on my ~17cm wrist. Good Monday to y'all!

Many congrats! Looks great.

It would be cool to see this one in various lighting (direct sun, ambiant lighting, late afternoon).

GS did a good job getting this one out quickly.

I picked one up as well. I have some great watches including the Omiwatari and the Lake Suwa but this blue is crazy hypnotic.

I'm torn on the size of this one, as I usually prefer to be around 40mm. How does it wear as compared to a Skyflake (my only GS and point of reference). It's a stunner for sure!

GS flies under the radar. Only true watch guys appreciate the brand. My GS is the only watch I can look at for much longer than to see what time it is.

My dial changes from silver to "champagne" depending on the light. The cut and polish of the case is the best of any watch. The hands and markers catch the light like a multi faceted jewel. The movement of the second hand on the spring drive is hypnotic.

Reading the GS marketing about how the watch is inspired by nature sounded like B.S. until I bought one.
Enjoy meditating with your watch; become the watch as you travel through time.

Well...I came across what I felt was a fairly bonkers deal on one of these today and despite my best attempts to resist, I could not. Now the long wait until Thursday begins.
