Sub Date keeps stopping.

Hi Guys,
I have had an M series sub since 2008 and since new, it will occasionally stop of its own accord, or more commonly if I change the time or date, I need to fiddle with the winding mechanism pushing it in and pulling it out until the second hand eventually moves again.

Anyone else experience this?

Regards,

George

Have you manually wound it? 40 turns of the crown in the winding pisition?

I have tried everything so far, however no success. My wife's Rolex has not missed a beat over the last five years, mine on the other hand is becoming a liability.

It shouldn't stop if you are changing the date. Sounds strange, sounds like a trip to RSC is in order.

Unless there is something seriously wrong with it, it sounds like you are simply not active enough..

Try winding your watch once a week and see if it stops on you again..

Only other possibility maybe your hack lever is bent or broken causing the intermittant balance starts and stops. Rikki

Give it a full wind 40+ turns and see how long it lasts. If it stops within 40 hours or so take it in for a service. I recommend contacting rikki in the post above mine for a service btw

If you have a watch winder, put it on there and see if it behaves different.
