please tell me you're not adding cocktail condiments to a 15 year bourbon?

Being from Louisville, I can tell you getting good bottles of bourbon is just like the SS Rolex market. Can’t find it anywhere but there’s a robust grey market that has whatever you want for a 200% mark up.

Found a bottle a few years ago- still nursing it. It’s a lot higher octane and part of the destinctive taste.

IMHO it’s tough to beat woodford for an everyday, easy to find bourbon.

Yep being in Lexington it is like shopping for a SS Rolex. Only difference is number of AD’s

I have found Four Roses Small batch to be my go to when I can’t get Blantons, Weller or Col Taylor.

Lovely thread! ANY opportunity to break out the special occasion bourbon is worth celebrating!

I've had Old Rip van Winkle. Never any Pappy. That stated, I can't imagine much better than Weller's green label. Blanton's is a close second.

Big fan of Weller and Blanton's as well. And while not worth the statospheric prices, I can assure you Pappy 15 is without doubt the best tasting bourbon I've ever had.

Just for sake of clarity there is no pappy 10 or 12 lol pet peeve. VWFR 12 and ORVW 10 but pappy is 15/20/23.

I like angels envy rye for manhattans. I once made one with ORVW 10 but I was tipsy and it was NYE lol

Well to clarify, it is VWSR12 (Van Winkle Special Reserve 12) not VWFR 12, just saying.
