I can only afford either Tiffany, Cartier or Rolex.
My wife looks ultra attractive when the light catches her eye when reflected from the cyclops on my sub.

Cartier 100%. Walk into a Tiffanys store today and it has changed. In their effort to globalize the brand and open more stores they have introduce lower priced accessories to broaden the base. Hence the multitude of keyrings and such. To me, they have gone down market from where they once stood. Cartier will provide you the boutique experience whereas Tiffanys is more of retail experience.

In my area the women I know prefer Tiffany. I generally dislike the Cartier stores here, but I prefer their jewelry.

Mrs. Yoda said Cartier. The Force is stronger with her, so I won't disagree.

Finishing of cartier is much more superior. I think Tiffany is inferior in quality on finishing.

Great advice in this thread and agree with others, first js what SHE wants. Tif is nice, yet very retail feeling, whereas Cartier is higher end and more personal shopping experience.
In the end i vote Bvlgari.

Cartier by far is on a different level to Tiffany on quality and price. Like comparing Tudor to Rolex. Both obviously not the absolute best in jewelry but maybe the best known..

Both are good companies with interesting products and history. I prefer Tiffany for no measurable difference other than my wife owns a number of items and they have always been of very high quality.

Tiffany & Co. probably resonates here (founded in NYC) and for most Americans as it represents high end American luxury. But on the world scale, Cartier is far superior. Tiffany did create the "look" of the modern wedding/engagement ring as we know it today, and DeBeers advertising/monopoly has solidified that standard of the "diamond" engagement ring, but, Cartier does not offer "low-end" jewelry as Tiffany's low end selections, albeit fine pieces of art, and has a reputation of catering to the super rich and royalty.
P.S. - Go with Cartier and get a Red Card.
