Great job, looking forward to see the end result! I have a white explorer II myself that needs servicing. No way I could do it myself, would not be a good idea :)

Hi all again,
Today I spent a pair of hours with the case back and the case lugs.
First I surrounded the case back with pointy polishing disk and generous paste. Afterwards phase 1 polishing to see the result of brushing and after trying to obtain mirror finished! Due to I was bit "eye tired" I started brushing the lugs.
As I said I decided to brush them like the new style so first I brushed to take nearly all dents. Afterwards taking the new direction and finally the smooth finisheduploadfromtaptalk1454456643627.jpguploadfromtaptalk1454456687404.jpguploadfromtaptalk1454456699366.jpguploadfromtaptalk1454456714529.jpg

Hi all again,
Today I passed a pair of hours working on the case and case back. After polishing little dents and scratches I sank both pieces in the ultrasonic machine and this is the final result!
uploadfromtaptalk1455118855615.jpg
Now is time to mount the crystal and bezel well aligned! How? Well I know there are many tricks to do it but right now I'm lucky to do it by eye!
uploadfromtaptalk1455119041731.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455119056427.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455119079303.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455119089807.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455119100205.jpg
After checking all parts are well fixed and aligned is time to water pressure test!!
uploadfromtaptalk1455119192198.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455119206555.jpg
The watch is tested to 6 ATM and no water got in!!!
After this test I leave the case 24 hours underwater to be sure!! Hahaha
Tomorrow will revise the movement, fix it in the case, align, stem in and case back closing.
Hope you'll like! Thanks for reading and all comments are high appreciated!
Bye!

Hi all,
As promised here is the final step of my 16570 polar full service.
After checking the movement just fix it in the case.uploadfromtaptalk1455189304605.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455189318801.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455189332930.jpg
OK! Is time to introduce the stem, align and screw the movement.uploadfromtaptalk1455189423716.jpg
Now blow carefully and look at every corner to see the case is clean and afterwards closing the case back.uploadfromtaptalk1455189501619.jpg
Finishing the the service only need to fix the strap/bracelet and....
WELCOME HOME!uploadfromtaptalk1455189604596.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455189614124.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455189626454.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455189643569.jpg
Thanks for reading and hope you liked the thread!
Next quest...uploadfromtaptalk1455189993708.jpg

Great great work. I enjoyed your post and can feel the love towards your craft.
My 16570 was the beginning to my Rolex journey in 1996, it is now sleeping in my vault after a full service, looking and runs like brand new.
I treasure this baby of mine.

Thanks a lot! It's a fantastic watch. Mine is sleeping now with others from my collection. I'm happy seeing the watch restored and working like new!

Hi all!
After several weeks waiting...the project is nearly finished!!!
Received today MY's envelope with my tightened bracelet!!
Here are the pics...
uploadfromtaptalk1460752432276.jpguploadfromtaptalk1460752444347.jpguploadfromtaptalk1460752459911.jpguploadfromtaptalk1460752472037.jpg
Amazing work! Finally needed laser welding and three new screws.
I want to say I'm extremely happy with the final result but only bit sad with the screws alignment and other details.
My experience with MY: great communication, great professional and fantastic final result!!
In a few days I'll fix the bracelet to the watch and ... DONE!
Have a nice weekend!
