...course a lot of Invicta's look like Rolex's too. Personally I'd hold onto the Rolex's OR at least trade the Sub if you decided that one had to go. BLNR I'd hold as a keeper.

I love the BP and the Blancpain is quite nice but no way would I do this. Very hard choice, and I would choose to just add the BP. I could live without the Blancpain.
However if you don't love your Rolex then go for it. But I would go halfsies like Cru suggested, and see how that feels because you have two great watches.

I know how you feel, I’ve owned a few ss sport Rolex and have traded them all, I love Rolex but hate the brand stigma. I can wear my Omega anywhere and only people that know watches would recognize my watch. I love the iwc big pilot, wish my wrist would support it. The good part is all these watches are mass produced and can be acquired if you wanted. Life is short, do it!

Most people won't recognize a Rolex either. In fact, most people could care less. Sure, more people might know the Rolex name, but if they aren't into watches, they're unlikely to identify what's on your wrist.

Keeping the watches make no sense purely because it says "Rolex" on it. Obviously you dont love them at all and havent bonded with any of them.

If your going to wear the IWC and Blancpain daily then do the trade. Big Pilot is a excellent watch I used to own one as well gave it away to my brother as he loved it.

Watches are meant to be worn not be stored in the safe. And if your wearing the BLNR and sub a few times per year well if it was me they would be long gone. Dont be a sucker for this SS shortage rubbish - there are literally millions and millions of Rolex's. Your BLNR and Sub can be attained anyday of the week and be on your wrist again within probably 48hrs.

Yes absolutely crazy

I bought IWC Big Pilot bronze 5010-05 and then traded Sub LVc for 5010-04 titanium big pilot (my big pilot craziness).

Anyway, luckily my gray allowed me to trade bank the titanium BP for LNc Sub, but that’s roughly $3k hit to me, which I subsequently traded to same gray plus cash for SD43, which I now have.

I sold my bronze BP and lost $4k.

Take it from me - don’t do it or you may lose a lot and miss you Rolexes.

Guess it depends on the Rolex, a sub date is probably one of the most recognizeable watches on the planet and brings attention I don’t need, but that’s just my opinion.

Man I know where you are coming from.

I have a 114060 no date and always worry a little bit about friends / co-workers seeing it. I was really worried about it before I bought it. Even since buying it a year ago, I’ve contemplated going with something more under the radar like a 5 digit Explorer II, or a the 39 mm Explorer.

However, at the end of the day, I picked this one out for a reason. I love the history behind it, the quality, the fit and feel. I find myself just staring at the dial.

What I’ve come to realize is that you can’t let the watch wear you, you wear the watch. If somebody make a big deal about it - just be honest and admit you’re a watch guy. Tell them why the Rolex brand appeals to you. Most people don’t know anything about this history of the brand, the quality, the durability, etc. They just think bling and expensive watch.

In the end, I realized I only had to have the “watch” conversation once and with the people that actually noticed it. After that, you’re done. If you otherwise are an honest, hard-working, likeable person - that’s not going to change because you’re wearing a nice watch that people recognize, instead of an equally or more expensive one that people don’t.

At least that’s how I’ve worked through it. I do hate the stigma, but I love my Rolex.

I like the big pilot over any SS Rolex... however I would keep the BLNR... 50 fathoms isn’t my favorite, but if you want one of the 1st true divers it’s a great choice
Keep in mind where your asking this haha.... the Rolex hype is real here!

The big pilot isn’t subtle and will be noticed too - people may not know what it is but it will catch their eye.

Have you considered putting an Everest or Rubber B strap on your Rolex ? That will certainly make it less noticeable.

If neither the BLNR nor the Sub get much wrist time, what IS your daily watch?

I wouldn't do that, I've had a FF before and I have thought about getting another but not enough to do what you are talking about. Don't IMHO. Good luck!

I'm not a fan of the black sub, although I do prefer the ND. I'd have no problem trading out of that. But I'm not laying out that kind of cabbage for something on a canvas strap

Sure, do it if you really like them and know you'll wear them. I have the earlier 5004 BP, I don't wear it regularly, but when I do pull it. out, it brings a massive smile to my face. I would check out some of IWC's smaller pilot watches though, just to be sure the BP is the one.

Some people on here confusing the Fifty fathoms with the Fifty Fathoms bathyscaphe. that said, either is magnificent, 120 hour power reserve, excellent finishing and WIS cred, visually unknown by everyone in the real world, ( I'm biased ) Buying new is lunacy, as both are absolute dogs as far as initial depreciation, making them secondary market bargains, the Bathy in the mid $6's and the FF in the mid $7's. If you're not in a hurry, wait for one on a bracelet, it's hilariously expensive to add later, canvas & nato straps not so bad.

I'd say the same for the IWC, buy used and you aren't risking much if you change your mind.

Yep we have a live one here. Just joking.

But seriously I wouldn’t do that with all the crazy Rolex ADs and buying process. Never know when you’d get your current pieces in the coming years.

You can wear Rolex anywhere any time! Your apprehension if being able to wear your Rolex is in fact Your issue. Many other people don’t even look or care about what is on your wrist. I felt the same way, now it’s Meh. Who cares lol

Really, I would sell both watches or trade towards a SS Daytona or even a Yachtmaster 116622. You have Rolex in your blood and you will regret not having a special rolex.

I’d keep the BLNR and trade the sub for a IWC BP or FF (not Bathy)

But I’m biased cuz I have both the BP and fifty fathoms (not the Bathy).

I've been in and out of Rolexes for about 6 years now. I've bought IWC, Hublot, Panerai and all sorts in between and I always without exception live to regret it. Rolex for me are timeless, go up in value (SS sports) and are as good as liquid cash (if you get into them at the right money). These things for me always always outweigh the honeymoon period of a new non Rolex...

A little easier to do with IMHO an under the radar FF or a big pilot that could be an over sized invicta to the normal person.
If this is how you feel buy a Seiko and wear it to work.
