Rolex cellini - valuation thread- deleted?
To the admin who deleted my post...
Why did you do that? Secondly, why would you not inform me that you did that? If it's against the rules to ask a valuation on an item, couldn't you have locked the thread so I was aware? I don't get it. PM'd me and explained why it was deleted? I mean... it just seems like the decent... Normal thing to do. |

But this isn't a watch that is easy to value... that's why I made the thread.
I have already done my due diligence and turned up sweet f all. So where do I turn to? A group of enthusiasts on a forum. It's a 1985 Cellini (4309/8/b) its not a brand new Submariner... There is a huge difference in asking the price of a new watch to something like a hard to find the price on a vintage. I understand why the rule exists... But surely there can be some actual thought involved and not just arbitrary following? I don't want to sell it on here. I just wanted some rough estimates so when I take it to auction on ebay or go to a local jewellers... I'm not going to undersell it for a huge loss. Maybe its a super rare model? Only an enthusiast forum would know that.... |

Moved this thread to its appropriate sub forum.
As the post # 2 above clearly shows, along with the rules of the forum clearly posted, valuation threads are not a topic allowed. Give a pass to one, opens the door for more..

A 10 second google search has given me the approximate value.
Why you choose to moan here when you could have done the same is telling. I also notice you lifted the photos from Crown and Caliber. Any response?

Also, you said the watch was for sale, and any inference to a watch being for sale made outside the classifieds is also against the rules. It's up to you to read the rules, it's not up to us to explain by PM every time we enforce them.

I've searched on google and not found anything relevant, most just say sold... chrono 24... had one for 3.5k and then another for 2.4k... but with no pictures. Hardly conclusive. |

The fact that you've been previously banned twice is all that needs to be added here.
